A George III silver double tea caddy
Robert Sharp, London 1798
Oblong form, with canted incurved corners and tapering sides, a central flush hinge with lift-up cover either side, the handle shaped and reeded with bifurcated acanthus leaf junctions, the whole featuring engraved floral, foliate and geometric decoration, a cartouche and lock to each end, one inscribed with monogram possibly 'CMK', height top of handle 18cm, weight 18oz.
